Wow!! We made it through 2020! And while it came with many ups and downs, I must say that there were many ups for Go Yo Go Fitness. Let’s recap, shall we?
In March, we were all “body slammed” with devastating news that knocked most of us on our backsides! Thanks to my buddy Mike and WeMerge Media, I was able to pivot out of the divot and build my business. Starting with FB Live videos, it was fun to see who was drawn to my classes and watch my reach expand.
April and May were spent teaching consistently in “Studio Yo” while juggling home schooling the kids. And while it was a challenge, I thoroughly enjoyed having my family home and managing them all. We also debuted our YouTube presence and got the website launched!! Lots of platform building and figuring out how to connect with you all and provide services that benefitted you.
June was our first Go Yo Go Fitness Challenge. 30 Days for $30!! We “sweat pic-ed” and “food pic-ed” our way to better health and fitness. It was so much fun that we did another one for July! That’s when I learned about promotions and anticipation with marketing. Gotta get that stuff out sooner that I thought.
August was awesome because my family and I went on vacation! And while a lot of it was swept away by Hurricane Isaias, I learned just how important it is as a business owner to rest. And when Coach Yo rests, her brain is able to create. With herself and family in mind, I came up with the 6 week weight loss challenge. It was so cool to get to know so many of you over the 6 weeks and a lot of us became friends over the course of it. It was a pretty sweet time.
October was spent in transition from summer to fall adding more zoom classes and prepping for the November challenge. Ahhh, zoom. I remember it well. So much growth with my zoom skills like a lot of you out there I’m sure and just in time as I was beginning to realize the importance of seeing the faces of the people that were working out with me. Social distancing and the weather change certainly took it’s toll, but we all learned to persevere through to November.
November was pretty sweet with the 30 Day challenge. We focused on nutrition with Cindy the nutritionist and I learned just how much water I needed to be drinking. One half to one ounce per pound!! I think we all crushed this challenge with reaching our goals and a lot of you eventually transitioned into the Crew membership.
December we tried something a little different and took some risks. The 12 Days of Christmas was not the most successful venture most likely due to the busyness of the holidays, but so much to be thankful for and to celebrate!! So grateful for you all for choosing me to coach you through 2020.
Coming up we have the Spring Break Challenge!! Yes, you heard me correctly! We are already prepping to get BACK into our swimsuits. And while I personally have been mostly good, I’d like to get just a titch more toned. WHO’S WITH ME!?!?
